Our Festival involves people of all ages and faiths and promotes Levenshulme in a positive light. Last year's event was the biggest yet and culminated in a huge 'Party in the Park' in Cringle Fields featuring live entertainment, a funfair and a disco.
South Manchester Band to promote Charity Single for Christie’s at LevFest Launch
Up and coming Funk Band ‘Bright Kicks’ from South Manchester are to release their debut single ‘Show me the World’ on Monday 20th September, in conjunction with The Christie Charity.
The band, whose members come from Levenshulme and Didsbury, have been selected to showcase the new charity single at this years 2010 Levenshulme Festival Press launch on Friday 22 October at M19 Bar on Stockport Road in Levenshulme Village.
Levenshulme Festival holds special Ladies Roller Skating Derby
The Levenshulme Festival will be hosting a special Roller Skating Derby match between the legendary Manchester Ladies Roller Derby team and one of the North of England’s top teams on Saturday 23 October at 6pm.
Levenshulme Festival keeps business local
This year's 12th Levenshulme Festival is aiming to support local businesses by launching its "Keep Business Local" campaign.
The idea came after traders reported a bad year's trading due not just to the recession, but also after business in the area were affected for months on end due to roadworks.
