BBC Radio Manchester’s ‘Indus’ Asian show will be visiting the event, to record extracts from the day for a future broadcast.
Talat-Farooq Awan from the BBC’s ‘Indus’ programme said "its fantastic that BBC Radio Manchester's Indus show can get involved in cross cultural events and report back to you the listener what's happening in the heart of the community and events like this festival certainly make it feel like we're all one big happy Manchester family working together and keeping each other informed culturally"
Tony Hennigan the chairperson of the festival said “Levenshulme is home to the biggest Irish community outside of London but it also an area with a very mixed multi cultural community. The festival has had for a number of years held an Asian Food Festival and separate Irish events but this year we wanted to bring them together to unite the community.”
