The funfair and fireworks was organized by Manchester City council Parks department and the friends of Cringle Fields with the live entertainment and disco supplied by the festival.

Festival president Lawrence Hennigan said “The outdoor party is always one of the highlights of the festival and is a great night of family entertainment and one that I really look forward to taking my family to every year.  We were very lucky with the weather again and the whole village seemed to come out to join in the celebrations.  Our next big social gathering is the switch on outdoor party for our Christmas lights which takes place on the village green on Saturday 22 November.  It should be another great family celebration for the whole community.”
