The day of the Levenshulme Festival Launch sees St Mary's School & Alma Park School in Levenshulme singing their hearts out in this years Lev's Got Talent. The event is open to dancers and budding musicians etc. as well as singers.

TV crime writer and novelist Cath Staincliffe gives a talk at Levenshulme Library . Cath is the creator of ITV's hit series, Blue Murder, starring Caroline Quentin as DCI Janine Lewis. Cath’s recent novels, The Kindest Thing and Witness, examined hot topical issues and told stories of ordinary people, caught up in the criminal justice system.

The 2011 Levenshulme Festival will run from Friday 21st October to Sunday 6th November 2011
The festival goes from strength to strength and is now firmly established as one of the biggest community events in Europe.
